The reef

The premiere academy of the nocturne empire, this ever growing collection of coral winds over itself, support structures fused upon existing latticework until it climbs from its rocky shelf to almost crest the surface.

Colour and beauty beholds you, as you come towards this becon of knowledge beneath the waves.

Not to be confused with the housing and natural formation that used to be along the coast closest to the Solaris Kingdom, the Reef is one of the old institutions of learning that seem to spring up around Levis like little hives of knowledge. Growing and expanding as each generation needs more space and ability to learn, this constantly evolving academy is larger even than the most more recognised Academy of Natare that those on land have built.

Architecture

One of the most well known segments of the Reef that those from the surface know of is the biotech area of the Reef. It was here that the Spine Graft was developed, and this spiralling mass of purple coral contains biolabs filled with biologists and technomages, working, experimenting and using their skills to better both the sentient races and those who act more as symbiotic or domestic species in the Nocturne community.
Another section of the Reef is the Ministry. While the organisation no longer exists in the form it once took, the section of the academy it inspired still exists, its work dedicated to enhancing and exploring how the corals of Levis grow and working on enhancing them in this ever expanding world.
Currently the newest segment to the Reef is being grown into the dark, the work in the Ministry developing coral that requires less light as it absorbs nutrients from the ocean snow. This depth zone has new researchers from the Sisters of the Deep working to encompass more experimentation and discovery of the abyssal level of the local climate, led by many a Tidewalker mage.

This sounds like an interesting building. I would have loved to learn more about when which part has been added.

Sounds like a place I would love to visit, both beautiful and full of learning. :)
