Azure Phenelope
Another in the coastal succulents of the Levis region, this one hides around the Solaris coasts, and up to Dorsal Island. It is most known for its vibrant blue petals, which makes the colour of the tea for which the plant is most used.
Practically extinct on the mainland, its history with the captains of Levis has had it the centre of an uncharacteristic culling, especially seeing as the plant blooms once in its life before becoming a hardy shrub, and the tea in question requires the entire succulent to produce the tea.

Additional Information
Domestication
Several attempts have been made to grow the phenelope inland, and while a hardy succulent was bred from the result, the Azure has not survived any attempt at transplant. Azure 'farms' have been attempted throughout the ages, but the reaching roots of the Azure somehow makes the soil in the area around the Azure toxic to other Azure. Further soil science is needed in the modern age, or an acceptance that some traditions need to make their ways into the annals of history.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The succulent has a main use of tea production using the whole plant. In a world where this was not the case, it is known that the stems of the Azure are useful for healing burns and creating salves that protect against the sun.
Knowledge of the compound it secretes into the soil around its root systems might be useful in developing a protection against invasive species that have become more prevalent since the mass travel of the modern age, but that is only a problem to those who insist exosystems must always be the same.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Grey fleshy stems and small needle like white leaves mark the Phenelope, with the large open blue flowers growing deep in the stem bases. Thick nuts are the seed carriers, ugly things that dissolve under the salt air to produce airbourne things of messy flight.
