Gnomes

Gnomes (Golda) are a small people who can be found all across Exorsia. While the species seems to originate from Land of Faerie , Gnomes are almost exclusively found on Exorsia, with no trace of a Gnomish society in the Land of Faerie

Gnomes are usually a energetic, curious and excitable people. They tend to be creatively inclined, very fast talkers, and have minds that like to wander. It is often said that Gnomes can’t sit still, constantly twiddling their thumbs or swinging their legs. A Gnomes curious and creative nature often leads Gnomes to gravitate towards roles as artists, artisans, scholars and inventors.

Gnomish culture is also very community orientated, from organising community fares to musical performances, Gnomes love a social gathering and a community protect. They love to work together, and it is seen as a great honour to be invited to work on a project with another person. If a Gnome is working on something, from an art piece to an invention, they will often be accompanied by their many friends and colleagues.

Name Collectors

In Gnomish culture it's common for Gnomes to have half a dozen or so names. A Gnome’s mother, father, clan elder, aunts, and uncles each give the Gnome a name, and various nicknames from just about everyone else might or might not stick over time.

Gnome names are typically variants on the names of ancestors or distant relatives, though some are purely new inventions.

When dealing with people outside their culture Gnomes will usually shorten their names to two or three names to avoid frustration.
