Half Elf
A Race with Two Different Worlds.
Origins
The first half-elf was conceived by a elven and a dwarven couple. The child's skin was tanner than the norm for Elves, as well as shorter in height. But the pointed ears were unmistakable to be an Elf. This showed how unity could come in different forms, even marriage and births. However, after Strection's tyranny began, Dwarves married fewer Elves. This resulted in the half-breeds becoming endangered.
However, when humans touched the land of Astnyr, these half-breeds took a new form. They originated in Craftport and Seaport, where most races joined each other. An elven and human couple joined, and made a new type of half-elf. This one was tall and skin-toned like a human, but had the pointy ears of an elf. Half-elves age differently than either of their counterparts. Live longer than a dwarf or human, but not as long as an elf.
Notable Half Elf
Lyria Silverwind was the chosen of Sonance. Before becoming a song bard, she was a healing cleric along with her father. However, she decided to resign the clergy after her older brother died from the "Decaying of Bones" spell. She mourned for some years before Sonance approached her in Craftport's tavern. Lyria's new mission was to help Lunarius's Chosen when they arrived. They needed to realize Lunarius's intentions before it was too late. Lyria agreed and trained under Sonance, becoming her chosen bard. After all, it was rare where an angel chose a citizen of Astnyr for their missions.
Physical Traits
Half-elves had the second most variation among other races of Astnyr. This was because half-elves were born with one elven parent, but could also have a human or dwarven parent. They carried every aspect and trait that their parent races could have, and it could be in a wide variety. For example, a child could have gold eyes, but also red hair that wasn't normal for a elf. All half-elf males could grow facial hair, even with their elven heritage. Their brows were also those of the human or dwarf parent.
