You draw the Spirit or Soul from a newly dead body and imprison it in a black sapphire gem. The subject must have been dead for no more than 1 minute. The soul, once trapped in the gem, cannot be returned through Revivify, Clone, Raise Dead, Reincarnate, Resurrection, True Resurrection, or even a Wish or similar magics or powers. Only by destroying the gem or dispelling the spell on the gem can one free the soul (which is then still dead). If the gem used as the material component is not valuable enough, it shatters when the binding is attempted and the spell fails

This option requires special permission to take. In the case of spells, psionic powers, and similar options, this option must be found in the world and cannot be taken upon level-up.
