The Grave Domain is granted by deities of death, mortality, fate, funerary rites, and the peaceful passage of souls. Their clerics stand watch over the boundary between life and death, ensuring that neither is embraced before or after its proper time. They comfort the dying, honor the dead, and oppose those who would defy the natural order through undeath or the theft of souls. These clerics understand that death is not an enemy, but rather an essential part of existence. They preserve life until its destined end, ease the suffering of the dying, and ensure that every soul reaches the rest it has earned.
Domain Spells
1st-Level Cleric (Grave Domain) Feature
Keeper of the Veil
1st-Level Cleric (Grave Domain) Feature
You guard the veil between death and life. When you cast a Divine spell that restores Hit Points to a creature at 0 Hit Points, you treat any dice as their maximum roll.
In addition, if you target an
Undead creature with a
Healing that would normally deal damage to it, it gains Vulnerability 10 to that damage.
Channel Divinity: Path to the Grave
2nd-Level Cleric (Grave Domain) Feature
You mark creatures for the hold of the grave. As an Action, you grasp your Holy Symbol and curse one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The first time it is hit by an Attack before the end of your next turn, the creature has Vulnerability to all damage from that attack.
Grave Guardian
6th-Level Cleric (Grave Domain) Feature
Your connection with the deities of death allows you to stave off their influence. When you or another creature you can see within 30 feet suffers a Critical Hit, you can use your reaction to turn it into a regular hit.
You can use this Reaction a number of times equal to your Cleric Power Reservoir, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Vital Reaping
18th-Level Cleric (Grave Domain) Feature
You can siphon life from death. Once per turn, when a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you can siphon the last of its life into yourself, then siphon Hit Points equal to the dying creature's CR or level to restore them to yourself or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You cannot siphon life from, or restore Hit Points to,
Constructs or
Undead in this way.
