Tinian

Established early-early by natural-side Elves and eventually joined by Humans, Orcs, Kobolds, like, ten Dwarves, and eventually would be the birthplace of the first Dragonborn.   Located in a wooded area on a river with a healthy flow of magic around, Dragon, The Aspect of Good Luck found it a suitable place to take a few centuries of nap. Around it rose the city and its customs primarily around nature until the humans showed up at which point the dwarves and humans started working together and building a pretty impressive city that the Faeries didn't like. So they scuttered off to the forest like you do, and Lady Shee warned them ahead of time not to get too enthusiastic about spreading out.   And then they did.   And she told them to stop.   And they didn't.   So she threatened them.   And then they stopped.   Until King Stupid built his Fuck You Tower and started a thing with Princess Wendelle and then I go on to make the place a Parliament and then an oligarchy and then back to a parliament, I think, or maybe a republic.   As of ~4500, the city is divided into Districts, no one district is too distinct from the next except by smell of the river's proximity and the ages of the buildings and roads.   The place is also faebane central. It's nasty to most faeries, they don't even want to be there 'cos it stinks of blackberry wood and there's bells everywhere. Keeping the faeries out of the city is such an old tradition that people don't even know why Blackberry door wreaths are the tradition to give a new house, or why iron doorknobs are standard, or why it's bad luck not to keep bells above the door.

Infrastructure

Primarily enchanted wood and stone, buildings are generally two or three stories high with occasional towers on larger structures. Primary roads are paved with stones, smaller paths are lined, and the alleyways feature woodchips and pebbles. Sewage sloughs run underground to the river and is usually washed away. Water cisterns are stored on top of buildings, often with enormous funnels to collect rain. Fountains are common fixtures.
