Seeker
One chosen by predatorial spirits to guide primal tribes through the world. This is often done with simpler methods through a shaman, but it's considered bad luck. These wayfinders are not only natural hunters, but they are attuned to the world to know breeding cycles, intimate details about the wildlife, and too much about what's going on.
The spirits are known to manifest on their Chosen individual in the form of flapping ribbons that are perpetually flying as though in a wind. Most Seekers regard this annoying as hell. The spirits that bless them will manifest in appropriate places, and most Seekers have at least two sets. The most any has had was five, , and a few have had only one (Wisdom, being the connection to the spirits themselves.)
No tribe is guaranteed to have a Seeker at any given time, and the Choosing will happen when it happens. Seekers only happen one at a time, and it is extremely rare for them to come across one another.
A sign of a Choosing Night (it is always at night, under a full moon), is a windless day.

Career
Qualifications
The spirits will only choose those they deem a good fit-- you have to be a good hunter.
Career Progression
It starts from a fairly young age (around the time of adulthood), and while the spirits have left someone before their death, it's uncommon.
Other Benefits
They lead the pack more than the chief does, and if there's a contest, the Seeker usually 'wins' the popular vote by default.
Perception
History
The true story of the First Seeker is lost to history, but the story goes that she was a lone werekin girl that had been hidden by her family until she got old enough to fend for herself (or perhaps just until she got caught). They taught her what little they knew about taking care of oneself in the wild and let her loose with a prayer.
The prayer was answered by the Diety of the Spirits (yet to be named, and in fact might be a single entity with many parts), and the girl was imbued with a spirit that bonded with her mind and body to guide and teach her.
She went on to found the first nomadic tribe, after happening upon a family, another werebeast (probably wolf?) and their human mate, and their few werekin children, and several more adopted werekin children. (The same were had infected several people in this area)
Operations
Tools
Varies by tribe, mostly, but also by Seeker. It's rare but not unheard of that the weapon can change, though it is always a weapon. It stays manifest in the natural world, and its connection with its wielder is hosted by one spirit, and any others that happen to have liked this one.
Alternative Names
Wayfinder, Pathfinder, First Hunter, Alpha
Type
Social Services
Demand
Going without one is bad luck, is the common thought. Rarely is a tribe in want of one for more than a year (may change)
