Cave goggles

Every Exclusion Zone: Introductory Guide in the Amnari Alliance has a vast network of caves at its heart, regardless of where the Reality Tear: Gap is situated. Exploring these caves is one of the most rewarding experiences and we welcome new members to join our bashi. We run explorations once a rotation and often have slots in early and late bashi depending on your shift assignment.

On your first exploration, we only ask that you collect a pair of cave goggles from the nearest Supply and Reclamation. Cave goggles are only available through Supply and Reclamation stations in cave networks, so if you are travelling from outside that area, remember to drop into the correct station before you join us.

Our cave goggles are adapted from those worn by Arborists and Cave Specialist Custodians who work in deep cavern areas. They will allow you to see in many of the unlit areas of the cave network. We ask that you respect Arborist instructions at all times, follow the map projected on the bottom right hand side of your goggles, and don't stray into areas closed off for rest or maintenance.

You will note that there is a link to your Slate: Introductory Guide, so don't forget to keep it with you in your slate pocket at all times. We recommend that you set up a back feed to your mind so you can control the goggle options directly and don't have to take your slate out if you want to spot something different.

You may have decided what you want to "spot" before you arrive. We know that for new arrivals it's especially exciting to have the opportunity to spot the many species of dragon living throughout the Banyan Tree System. The cave goggles can be preset to provide the best lighting conditions to see the smallest bioluminescent dragons inhabiting the deep caves. Once you have identified a dragon, the information will be added to your slate with a link to the Data Matrix: Introductory Guide article so you can learn more later.

Please don't hold up the group by checking these articles immediately. We run sessions after exploration and on alternate rotations workshops to learn more about the wildlife you have spotted. If the group becomes too spread out, participants can easily be lost, creating more work for Arborists and Custodians in those areas.
