Sossa Desert
The Sossa Desert is a region that has changed much after the sundering of Necessa. The desert region drifted closer to the Elemental Plane of Fire and by doing so it wicked away more of the moisture of the surrounding areas turning them into arid climates. Other areas in the desert were affected as well. There is the Fire Sands of Sossa where the fire of the Elemental Plane of Fire erupts from the ground. The Soarsing Oasis is in the middle of the Fire Sands. It was a destination that others would use to get respite from the heat. Due to the proximity to the Elemental Plane of Fire geothermal vents activated and heat the once tranquil waters. This also activated a magical property in the waters that soothes the ailments of the bather when they are submerged in the waters. The waters are now once again a travel destination offering a relief of a different kind. A vibrant varied community settled around the oasis for the healing waters and the emerging fire aetherite trade from the denizens of the Elemental Plane of Fire. Outside of the Soarsing Oasis is the Ashen Wastes. This area was scorched by fire when the region of Necessa fell closer to the Elemental Plane of Fire. Farther from the Oasis and the desert is arid badlands that jut up into the sky. In the canyons you can find small tributaries of water that flow into a small flood plain in the desert. The largest community Azricol resides here and is a major stop for those visiting Soarsing Oasis and don't have a direct flight path to the oasis. This location has dried out as the region moved closer to the Elemental Plane of Fire though the residents have created waterways from the near by river to keep crops and nearby plant life into curated gardens.
