Zeth n Legna
Zeth n Legna is the name of the Valonian private publishing house in Valone owned by Gilmis Family. The company is responsible for distributing all sort of literatures while providing good quality. Writers, poets, philosophers, or even the government love to use their service to spread their thoughts, news, and statements around the empire in a form of tangible medium.
The main job, or perhaps their biggest line of issues, is publishing Daily Life of Valonian - the national daily newspaper.
Structure
President
The head of the company, who is in charge of everything: Accounting, journaling, editing and so on. They are usually a trustful, highly-educated, and passionate family member chosen by the precursor.
The current president is Vanetta Gilmis, the granddaughter of Legna Gilmis. She's the fourth president in the hundred years of company existence.
Journalists
All the issues were creatively written thanks to hard-working journalists. Other than writing news, they gather interesting stories all around the empire with various methods such as interviewing people or rumors. This requires writing skill, which is very uncommon among lower-classes.
Each journalist always carry one or two wax tablets for jotting.
Scribers
For anyone who prefer labor jobs, this is good for them. Doing much of mass hand-printing, bookbinding and heavy logistic duties, all come with worthy benefits.
Assets
Thanks to their biggest client, Valonia Senate, the company manage to get plenty of resources for mass-printing such as papers, inks, labors, etc. Still, a family business.
Speaking of familiy, they lives in a villa not far from their shop located next to the Val Forum, which has very high value, yet having a accommodation, just in case.
History
It was found in 42 BVE by Zeth Nuros who was passionate in writing. He used his saving from the job as Stonecutter at Sarton's quarry renting a house next to the Val forum. The company's first book was the tragedy inspired by his lover's undeserved death, published on what it would become the Daily Life of Valonian.
During the regime of Empire of Kritus, especially the first few weeks of occupation, a single arson would collapse the entire business. The company were forced to publish their newspaper as a chance to survive, with the help of his adopted daughter Legna, the survivor of the sack.
In 18 BVE, the company published Bravestone, the episodic advanture epic by GIlmis. It became a bestseller.
The business grew after the liberation in 15 BVE. The company expened to nearby building, more staffs hired, and more quality and distributed issues. In 5 BVE, Zeth passed away, with a smile on his face.
