Erkisium
Erkisium is the capital city of the Erkinia province of the Valonia Empire located on the Gate Lowland next to the Wall of Irgian. The town is served to maintain and garrison the wall, especially the main gate for controlling the access between the southern and the midland.
Found in 575 BVE, the town was found not far from the large gap betweeb two mountain ranges where the main gate were constructed. Afterward, it thrived into the bigger town with permanent population to the point it became the capital and the largest city of the Protectorate of Erkin until its dissolution.
Defences
Although the wall existed, Erkisium also has its own fortification, but it was built only after the first occupation by Krin. No matter how far it is, it's all built with stone bricks to connect with the great wall with the slight less thickness.
Industry & Trade
History
Established and inhabited by Irg of the Irgia Republic, The town has been renamed several times thoughout its history. The original name was Erkin, the name of the country nowadays, to mock the aggrassive Krin and its empire, showing Irg superiority. Ironically, Krin breached the wall and thus pillaged the town and renamed to Kisium, mocking them back - for the next 400 years or so. Nevertheless, once the town was returned to the republic, it was renamed again with the same principle and a mix of both - Erkisium.
During yet another empire era, the city because less autonomous but more defensive. The second outer city wall were began contruction.
Architecture
Various type of architectural styles can be seen throughout Erkisium, marks each periods during its 600 centuries-ish history. Irg's woods and thrash huts from the republic eras, and the marble-granite mansions and catidals from Krin-Valonian imperial eras.
