Eastern Auzera

Eastern Auzera describes the region east of the Shattered Peaks. The region is blanketed in trees and has a majority tropical climate.

While the East is a visual antithesis to the barren Great Desert, the heat can be just as suffocating.

Geography

After crossing the primary ridge, the mountains continue marching east, gradually shrinking until they finally surrender to gentle hills about <distance> from the coast. An unbroken tropical rainforest claims the heart of the region, its edges transitioning into temperate and seasonal forests. The coast is rimmed with white-sand beaches. In the far east, the paradisaical Saredian Isles hover over the sea.

Climate

In opposition to the desert in the west, the East has no lack of water. Even its driest reaches still experience more rainfall in a few months than most of the West experiences in a calendar year.

Being so large, the East includes many different climates. It is coolest in the north and quickly warms approaching the south. The hottest parts of the rain forests typically only cycle between two seasons: wet and dry. The more temperate regions might experience as many as six different seasons across a Dawn/Dusk cycle.

Fauna & Flora

The biodiversity of the Verdant East is immeasurable. It is a cacophony of birds, insects, mammals, reptiles, predators, prey, dragons, Floatbeasts, and all manner of flora and fungi. It is impossible to name a single standout species in such a huge and diverse region.

Countless species still remain undiscovered or unnamed. Myths about strange creatures are plentiful. Some are so outlandish that many assume them false--but such stories have been proven true before. Anything can hide in the swaths of unmapped jungle.
