Tin

Overview

When a Gifted successfully absorbs their Copper Treasure, they must begin to integrate one of its Primal Concepts into their Path to Power to continue their advancement. Only by doing so will their Veils expand large enough to be able to consume an even more powerful Natural Treasure. These Tinned make up the largest group of Gifted on Marus, with most adults reaching this rank in the Relic Arts sometime in their middle ages.
Tinned Gifted are beset by difficult growth requiring the ambitious to develop absolute control over their Primal Elements, a firm grasp on their Veil, a deep understanding of their most authentic self, and some degree of insight into the esoteric Elemental Concepts with which they hold sway. These invaluable tools are essential for Tinned seeking advancement into Bronze as anyone can tell you that without the fine control needed to blend Treasures together seamlessly, your Path to Power becomes a fragile and tenuous thing. The first step almost all Tinned take in developing this fine control is the broadening of their senses through some form of Magical Perception; like a second set of eyes or hands, these Gifted explore a whole new world of magic.

The Tinned let out a breath of hot wind as her Cyclonic Veil erupted over the jungle like a vengeful storm. With the taste of rainwater on her lips and the scent of charcoal in the air, her Veil wove into a Maker-Ruler Technique that surged with potent eddies of Primal Air and Primal Fire. When she loosed the ember cyclone, it consumed all that it could and perpetuated the elemental storm that enveloped her lair.

A Tin Body

All Gifted possess a magically empowered physical body that changes greatly as they advance. As a progressing Tinner, these changes have begun to become truly noticeable. They have not restored lost limbs or gained superhuman abilities, but they do possess far sharper senses, an enhanced lifespan, and superior healing. A Tinned Gifted's minor cuts and bruises will heal overnight, while most mundane illnesses pass quickly. They can expect to live more than a decade longer than Duddens of their species and possesses senses and reflexes far superior to their natural ones.
