Diode
Abstractly named - the Diode - was a space-folding engine created by the pearl people; well before their intervention in Enuma Elish.
Utility
This spatial teleportation and movement are powered by itself. It is its own engine and central processing core that bridges these physical and metaphysical systems.
Teleportation
It is described as an icosahedron core rotating slowly midair within the center of a tall chamber. When this object spins rapidly, the immediate environment pixelates and it bursts open. It manipulates the fabric of space. Any entire multi-ton structure attached to the diode will instantaneously de-materialize or shift from one geographic location to another without physically traversing the intervening terrain.Social Impact
Because the teleportation moves physical mass through space instantly, it carries enormous kinetic and energetic displacement. The implication bring that it served as a terrible weapon. There is also suspicion that it could restore health in some anachronistic way.
Whether true or not, both feats were reserved for their creators. Aside from transporting the pearl people, these diode engines would have had minimal impact on humanity.
