Treeine
As you are walking through a forest, minding your own business, you would be forgiven for having no idea whatsoever that these creatures are surrounding you. You would normally have no idea at all that they are even there, which explains why they were never discovered until the 2nd age. For a long time after even it was thought that they could perhaps be sentient, due to how they behave, having a curious nature to them, in that they try to investigate as and spy on us as much as we try to figure them out. Yet as far as anyone can tell, they are indeed Mystimon. Though they are some of the weirdest Mystimon on record.
Basic Information
Anatomy
A small walking tree creature with vines for arms that normally swing wildly at the sides of the trunk that make up their body. Their feet are actually three or four root stubs that move around as though they are legs. Their tree structure takes the form of oaks, birches, heartwoods, etc, depending on what trees are native to that region, such as oaks in the Primal Wood, and heartwoods around Heartwood City, or even evergreens in Atlantea.
Biological Traits
They are genderless plant Mystimon that take on the characteristics and traits of whatever trees they take the form of, such as heartwood based Treeines have an extremely dense body and high defences.
Genetics and Reproduction
During the spring and summer they will shed seeds which will eventually either grow into normal trees or Treeines.
Growth Rate & Stages
Treeine Evo's into Trenon.
Ecology and Habitats
Treeines and Trenons are normally found pretty much anywhere you find trees, though that doesn't necessarily mean you will find any in the area. They can range from forests and jungles all over the world.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Treeines actually don't eat anything persey. They instead will root themselves in the ground and draw nutrients and water from the ground and from the sunlight through a process called photosynthesis.
Biological Cycle
In the fall, they will shed all of their leaves, and go into a state of hibernation over the winter. Then during the spring, they will come alive again as their leaves grow back and their cycle begins all over.
Behaviour
Despite what many people seem to believe, they are actually very social creatures. People don't realize this as they never actually see it, but Treeines and Trenons will normally gather when no one is around and seem to communicate through some form of language no one can understand. When people are near they will sneak up behind and alongside them and spy on them. When they do this, they are simply curious. They are normally harmless and gentle creatures.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Treeines and Trenons have a social structure amongst each other that no one can truly understand. Some have surmised whether they are all some how in concert with others of their kind all over the world, through the earth itself. Either way they certainly seem to have some form of social structure that we are neither entirely aware of nor that we understand.
Facial characteristics
Their face, if one could indeed call it that, takes on the unique characteristics of the type of tree that they are.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
They are found just about all over the world, in Southern Almahna, Olympus, Atlantea, Highwind, and the Quatrica Islands. Anywhere you can find trees, you have a strong change of finding Treeines and Trenons.
Average Intelligence
They certainly appear to have a level of intelligence that we can never completely understand, to the point that many have wondered whether they are indeed sentient, as they appear to have a social structure and language that we just don't understand in anyway.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They can sense vibrations through the ground.
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
They have a truly symbiotic relationship with all of the Mystimon of the forest and jungle, to the point that many smaller creatures will make their homes in Treeine's branches and in hollows in their trunk.
