Galenian

The Galenians are an ethnic group who inhabit the lowlands in the western region of Austasia.

History

While the ancestors of the Galenians emigrated from northernHebetica, the Galenian culture developed in Austasia. Some centuries ago, Gutones began settling the western lowlands of Austasia, mixing with and displacing the native Cimbrians. The Cimbrians were pushed into the mountainous highlands of eastern Austasia.

The first major Galenian kingdom was established by Galen, the modern culture's namesake. Galen's kingdom covered most of the lowlands, then fractured after his death. A generation later, the Dekaelic Empire invaded Galenia and established major settlements on the coast and along the river Leven.
