The realm of Caelsimil's god of Taboos and his archdemon Mezanyn, Pandemonium is a vast and ever-shifting plane teeming with chaos and an abundance of wild magic. Pandemonius, a former incubus, is its ruler. Occupied primarily by various demons and the once-mortal souls of those who worshiped him in life, its other inhabitants include rebellious outsiders, fallen angels, and fey to a smaller extent.
While these pockets of civilization exist on Pandemonium, a majority of its shifting terrain remains unoccupied, leaving those who wander the plane without direction or means to experience a profound sense of loneliness and isolation. In its most remote regions, towering pillars of swirling winds dance among twisted, natural structures that reach as high as mountain peaks and evoke unease, dwarfing lost onlookers.
Despite the plane's chaotic nature, regions of serenity exist as well, such as along the Shimmering Shore, where the sea glistens and the sands eventually meet rocky formations that form gorgeous natural terraces.

History
Spun into creation by the cruel goddess Velevana, who ruled over the drow of the Underdark before her downfall, Pandemonium was originally known as the Wicked Web. Under her control, it was the final resting place of countless drow, who were either relegated to a torturous existence or a position of comparative power directly under the Mother of Malice herself. Under her rule, it was just as chaotic, its twisted landscape shifting wildly whenever it suited the Spider Queen's whim.
Upon her death, a majority of the drow souls confined within the plane were destroyed, ceasing to exist entirely. Those that were not scattered throughout the planar system, seeking new afterlives or fulfilling post-death obligations - willingly or not. Most of her minions perished as well, or else moved on, leaving the few that remained to dwell with the remnants of an abandoned plane.
Following her defeat, Industria and company fled the plane, unwittingly leaving behind an incubus summoned during the battle. Left to his own devices, the incubus seized an opportunity to expand his own power. He harvested the residual arcane energy from Velevana's corpse and attuned himself to it, manipulating the energy until he began to gain control of it. As he did, the plane started to reject Velevana's body, answering instead to the incubus. He used the chaotic environment to his advantage, training and adjusting until he grew in power, eventually elevating himself to the status of a deity. Upon doing so, he renamed the plane Pandemonium, and himself Pandemonius, reshaping and redefining it until it became his own.
