Endless Sky
The Endless Sky is a boundless plane whose environment is dominated by air and air phenomenon, including whirlwinds and storms. The least occupied of all the elemental planes, it's still undoubtedly rich with diverse life. The capital city and heart of the jaathoom (or djinn) empire, Armun Kelisk, spans across seven floating discs of stone, ice, and silver. Its citizens welcome travelers with open arms and place a deep value on the exchange of both physical goods as well as ideas and information. A spiritual and cerebral peoples, they interpret dreams, augur the future, and perform rituals that allow them to grant wishes.
Other planar natives include air elementals, scamps, and air, lightning, and cloud dragons. Significant numbers of sylph and thriae also call the plane of Air home.

Geography
The spacious skies are illuminated by distant, glowing orbs that radiate immense light and heat. Remote and dangerous to explore (not only due to the threat of burning up; raging winds grow increasingly more intense and chaotic the closer a traveler ventures), little study has been conducted on them. Many throughout the plane use them as a means of navigation, as they hang reliably stationary in the sky.
History
A peculiar feature of the plane of Air is the seemingly inexplicable presence of supermassive, moon-sized spheres of metal. These balls of bronze and steel existed for millennia, drifting slowly and apparently randomly throughout the plane. Inscrutable, faded writing on their exteriors had worn away after ages of exposure to winds and storms, and most of the plane's residents considered it taboo to approach them.
In their quest to unite the fragmented pieces of Exius's soul, Industria and company visited the Endless Sky. Their search lead them to the peaks of Lashrial Rise, where they confronted the ancient white dragon Nayrviantem, the Jealous One. Believing him to be in possession of the soul fragment, a fierce battle ensued, and the Jealous One was put down, his soul imprisoned within a gem. Immediately following his defeat, every metal sphere cracked at once, releasing thousands of souls into the plane of Air. Many rushed off to their destined afterlives, while others were captured by denizens of the plane. Whatever purpose they had been originally preserved for is unclear, as Nayrviantem was no longer around to provide an explanation.
Exius's soul was also contained in one of these spheres, and the group was able to retrieve it. Following the event, the orbs have stopped moving entirely. The cracked, empty husks were initially targeted for occupancy; solid material on which to settle is seen as a commodity throughout the plane. However, no settlement lasted longer than a few years before it, along with all of its residents, vanished. It didn't take long for people to notice, and no major efforts to occupy the spheres has occurred since.
