Grievances and Jealousy
After the
Time of Heroes in the peacetime that followed, trouble was brewing beneath the service. The valley of
Shavat Tur fertilized by the corpse of the enemy all the clans joined to defeat had been claimed by
Clan Rakrantra - the clan bearing the lineage of
Toranti of the
Five Great Heroes.
Clan Trakaata which dwelled in the deserts of
Ratoghar across the mountains became envious of the regular bounties of
Rakrantra and angry at the power and arrogance they began to show at the bargaining table. Eventually this resulted in a grave insult when members of both clans attacked each other in
Tikazan. While members of the other two clans broke up the fight, the animosity did not end.
Hatred Breeds Hatred
A series of skirmishes began soon after the incident with most of the fighting taking places on the mountains that formed the border between the two clans' territories.
Trakaata - known for their strong warriors - managed to capture much of the mountain range but it took generations before the conflict finally came to a true end.
The end was brought about when two
lizardfolk - one from each clan - fell in love and began meeting in secret. The two were discovered by raiding parties from each side and they risked their lives to remain together swaying the hearts of the others and eventually both sides.
