Ancient stories tell of a massive form that would be seen every sunset, blowing water into the air as the form took the resting suns upon its skin

Peusthor is a Tidewalker, and the first of his line. While Tidewalker heritage is matriarchal, Peusthor was exceptional because of the long blue stripe along his side that followed his specific descendants, and the pale blue belly and thin nose that were prominent in people who came next.

Many of Peusthor's female descendants tried to mate in a way to ease out those traits, for those of the line seemed cursed with all the pitfalls of greatness, and none of the longevity of name or discovery.

Motivation

Peusthor was first known in the histories for his love of games, often putting up the fates of his children to be as prizes to be won against when the mood suited him. With the existence of divination magics around - seeing into the way and weft of the well so he claimed - Peusthor would have a third party 'scry' the fates of his children, and then promise these futures to the children of those he would play against should he lose. To the chagrin of his lineage he lost, alot.

When actual diviners and seers came into his life, and his dealings with the local confidence artists came to play, a curse was laid. Now whether that curse was laid with magic, or whether those practitioners used rumour to scare the life into Peusthor, what is known is that Peusthor's tastes began to change, even if his luck did not. From this moment on, Peusthor could not stand to game, and indeed, Peusthor the elder became almost minimalist, wanting for nothing and living with nothing but the purity of water and sunlight upon his vent holes.
