Foliad
If any sentient species were to have a stranglehold on the realm of Levis, then the Foliad would be it.
We should all be one with the ecosystem - as we were meant to be."Morally just" and incredibly good at justification, where a human's strength is pattern recognition, and a Troll's a hardy stubborness, while demons tend to be in touch with their emotions, foliads are good at retroactive justification. This also means that they are very good for the most part, at explaining their thinking and giving a well thought out argument. The major culture to interact with the other realms when they were connected and the most populous of the cultures spread across Levis, the foliad people have spread into several distinct zones across the continent but are all based around the pursuit of knowledge, and the need to integrate with the world around them.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Biologically, Foliad were once divided into two camps. All foliad have a long parietal bone producing a larger skull, slightly longer lower arm than the human species, and an extra joint in the thumb. They also have 4 thick pairs of molars, with a third set of molars coming in later in life. They range between 5 and 6.5 feet tall.
Balak Foliad have slightly large eyes, and most have slightly larger than human fat pointed ears.
Bidee Foliad have lack the larger eyes, having longer but slightly curved ears, and fern like growths on the elbows and lower calves, and their naturally thicker soles. Their skulls have thick groves shaping back from behind their ears. Their ears are also slightly thinner.
Those with heritage of both seem to pick and choose between characteristics.

Genetics and Reproduction
Foliads give birth to a 'seed', a pod-like device that has been temporarily gestated inside the bearer after fertilisation. The seed is placed partially within topsoil, and tended to like one would a plant. After the duration of 2 years, the seed unfurls to form a child akin to a 1 year old of human vision, with a root clump that slowly grows back into the elongated cranium of the adult foliad. There is no excess left over, and the parents/guardians of the child assist the child in digging their way free of the soil that surrounds them. Many of the larger roots fall out in this climb for the surface with the remaining roots falling out around the time the child goes through teething.
Due to this double 'birth', most foliads count the day their child unfurls as the day they are born, though the seeding day sometimes comes into play for some of the stranger stories and superstitions around a foliad's life.

Dietary Needs and Habits
The foliads have a second stomach instead of an appendix, allowing them to eat things that humans would often call trees and bark.
Civilization and Culture
Relationship Ideals
Foliads are naturally polyamorous, with many couples, triads and quartets having elements of homosexuality and bisexuality.

I like the "foliads are good at retroactive justification"-part. I also like the rest of them. They slightly remind me of my Augalai. I need to check out your other humanoid species "soon".
