Luminaren
Luminaren is the language - if one can use such a term - used for communication between the enigmatic Luminae of the Whispering Expanse.
Humanoid creatures composed of pure light, the luminae lack the physical apparatus for vocal communication, and so all of their dialogue is exchanged through physical displays of light within their forms. Differences in patterns, brightness, frequencies, and colours, all contribute to conveying the wills and emotions of these vibrant beings. Some individuals who have had prolongued encounters with luminae have been known to pick up on the language, and have even learned how to communicate back in a rudimentary fashion using spells such as Dancing Lights. Though most luminae are able to understand the common tongue, they are usually overjoyed on the rare occasion they get to converse with such individuals, with their hues shifting to reflect this.
In addition to being displays of light, the luminaren displays can also transmute matter at a molecular level, allowing them to create other sensory effects during periods of heightened emotion, such as floral aromas when pleased, or sulfurus odours when angered. These acts consume a lot of energy from the luminae, and they will often require to rest after such an exertion.
A demonstration of great affection from a luminae comes when they use this transmutative power to conjur a small gift for someone they have grown fond of. These are usually simple, such as a flower to place in the hair of a particularly elegant looking woman, or a single gold coin to offer to a homeless person whose plight has particularly moved them.
To receive such a blessing from one of these beings is exceedingly rare, and a sign of deep care and attentiveness towards the recipient.

Very nice. I love languages that don't really map to words spoken through the air. (I have this same problem; many of my Realms have nothing like sound as a way to communicate)
That is so cool! I have to admit I can get trapped into conventionally-minded spaces when it comes to a lot of things, and the idea of species with non-verbal communication didn't really occur to me until quite far into our campaign, and even now it doesn't really extend further than the luminae. So the idea of entire realms being devoid of sound is such a great concept.
