Draconia
Draconians, sometimes called Dragonkin, are a group of species from the Draconia Ancestry, which encompasses all creatures that are descended from the Deific Archdragons, Aretos and Kakia, and the descendants of True Dragons.
Creatures of the Draconia Ancestry can be found all across the Planes, and can be recognised by their Dragon-like appearance, scaled bodies and Magical nature. While Draconians resemble Exorsian Reptiles, they are not actually related.
Almost all Draconians species are neither Mortals or Immortals, ranging from Beasts to Quasi-Deities, with Dragonborn being the only Mortal species of Draconians. Most Dragonkin are believed to be the subject of Divine or Mortal experimentation on True Dragon eggs, as people throughout history attempted to mold Dragons into tameable soldiers, guards or pets.
Shared Characteristics
Anatomy. Draconians come in a variety of shapes and sizes, usually resembling True Dragons, with scales that completely cover their bodies, forward facing eyes, no external ears and tails.
Carnivorous. Draconians are usually carnivores, eating primarily meat.
Endothermic. Draconians maintain their body temperature metabolically, largely by the use of heat released by their internal bodily functions instead of relying on environmental heat sources like Reptiles.
Enhanced Senses. Draconians have enhanced sense of smell and vision, allowing them to see clearly in the dark.
Oviparous. Draconians reproduce through laying a clutch of fertilized eggs.
