Dragon Bone Dice

Dragon Bone Dice usually come in a set of five or a double set of ten eight-sided dice carved from the bones of dragons. The real bones show the metals tinting the scales of the dragon running in thin veins through the bone and are of a dusty brown colour that is a little darker below the surface when the numbers are carved in. Cheaper fakes are available from deceptively well made to examples that are clearly some more common, often deer, bone with colourful veins painted on the surface. Dragon Bone Dice themselves are very expensive to get and commonly passed down for generations or among chosen family for centuries as they are very sturdy and hold their value well across regions and generations to be an emergency fund in times of need. The price scales according to the rarity of the dragon they were harvested from, with red, purple, and gold veins being the most rare and green, blue, and black being among the most common, see the table below for a full list:

They are used to play Dice Poker, a game well-liked among soldiers and merchants to pass the time without carrying extra weight, at times played for coin or to decide who has which duties to fulfil.
