The Gods

The gods are a part of everyday life.  If the weather is bad for long enough and crops are struggling, people pray to Lydia, Goddess of Bounty for a bountiful harvest.  If they are lonely and looking for love or connection they might pray to Ameri, Goddess of Love to find someone to connect with.  If they are sick they pray to Cruitio, God of Healing for healing.  

Cadilon is a very religious world.  Each area of the world might have a slightly different pantheon of gods they worship, or they might even worship the same gods by different names.  People genuinely believe the gods are watching, that they are there to help, and that they answer prayers.

The pantheon is a strange thing though.  There are some areas of interest that one would think would interest a god, but there is no god associated with it.  Likewise, there are gods mentioned in myths and legends, but not only are they not worshiped now, no one knows anything about them.  This intrigues scholars, and worries them too as The God of Destruction is one mentioned in a story that everyone hopes never returns.

The following are the gods that are known.  As more gods are discovered (living or dead, old or new), they will be added here.

Players who follow one god more than the others and works to increase the god's influence on the world can collect Piety.

The Pantheon of Altarian

Iustia, God of Justice - Lawful Good god and patron deity of the city, country and monarchy. She is a god of justice, goodness, and order

Pax, God of Peace he is the neutral good god of peace, prosperity, and acceptance

Lydia, Goddess of Bounty is the neutral good goddess of the harvest and agriculture. People also pray to her for bounty and good yields in other forms like in business

Brigi, Goddess of Creativity Brigi is a new god worshiped in Altarian. She is the goddess of creativity, art, and artisans

Cruitio, God of Healing the neutral good god of medicine and healing is one tied to both the mystical and scientific forms of health and healing

Protaegon, God of Protection the lawful good god of protection, he is one of the more militant gods and is closely tied to the church of Iustia

Vinya, Goddess of Virtue the goddess of goodness, virtue, selflessness and kindness, Vinya is seen as the true angel of the pantheon

Ameri, Goddess of Love the chaotic good god of affection and relationships is often seen as the goddess of love. She is connected to all forms of positive relationships, not just romantic
