Rocky Ridge
Rocky Ridge was a small town that grew up while Night City was still an unpleasant wreck after the Fourth Corporate War. It was founded by Reclaimers who wanted to make use of modern technology to farm the badlands outside the city. The real upswing came as the growth of the city made an extension to the nearby Interstate 9 highway that would go through the town. Speculation led to what had been a village to grow into a small town during the 50s and 60s.
There were earlier signs of trouble, but what killed Rocky Ridge was the Unification War. The initial steps of the war made any interstate travel unlikely, and the compromise of the Arvin Accords puts Night City in such a special position of trade that no one had an interest in a Podunk town just hours from the city limits.
Wraiths, a group of Raffen Shiv Nomads, have use the town for shelter or to do trade on occasion. As have other Nomads, though more rarely. Others who decide to take a break here should know how to defend themselves, because it's likely whoever else is there can. And they might well be interested in your belongings. Or worse.
