Vale City
Vale City rises from the island coast like a scar that learned to thrive. Built around a sprawling dock complex of weathered timber and stone, the city is equal parts port, fortress, and den of opportunity. Tall masts crowd the harbor, their rigging forever creaking. While the great Dock House—serving as city hall, guild seat, and pirate council chamber—looms over the waterfront like a crowned tyrant. Narrow streets wind inland toward a central green where a salt-stained statue commemorates some half-forgotten captain or rebellion, surrounded by smithies, chandlers, inns, and ramshackle shops selling everything from ship nails to stolen relics. The air smells of tar, smoke, and brine, and the people of Vale City—pirates, merchants, mercenaries, and exiles of every race—live by a simple code: loyalty is earned, power is taken, and the sea always has the final say.
