Plucking
"Plucking" is the term used to refer to the vanishing of individuals or structures from the world of Avarha during Realm Conjunctions. It is presumed that anyone or anything "plucked" move from Avarha to whatever realm Avarha is in Conjunction with.
The Skywatcher Institute studies these reported events and has determined that one's chances of being plucked are very low - as low as a 0% chance when properly utilizing Core Anchors - but that it is a real danger. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to verify that a disappearance during a Conjunction was indeed a plucking event, as moving between realms at will is exceedingly difficult for most, making a return to Avarha nearly impossible if someone is plucked to another realm. This has led to some dismissing the risk of plucking, especially since the use of Core Anchors has made Conjunctions even safer. As a result, there has been a rise in the Unanchored Movement, where some citizens of Avarha choose not to use Core Anchors and instead risk the possibility of being plucked.
Officially, the Skywatcher Institute considers anyone who goes missing during Realm Conjunctions and can't be located within one year to be "likely plucked."
