Death Woods
Localized Phenomena
The calls of the beasts within the forest can often be heard, which include howls and snarling. At times there are strange lights that appear among the trees, which happens at any time during the day or night thanks to the darkness created by the dense forest. It has also been noted that during Realm Conjunctions, something akin to an opaque dome appears to cover the forest, keeping the light of the Conjunction from reaching into the forest at all.
Fauna & Flora
The trees that make up Death Woods are seen nowhere else in Avarha and therefore believed to have come from one of the other realms that have not been well documented. These are often referred to as Death Trees, or Umelan Death Trees.
The forest is also filled with beasts and monsters not seen anywhere else in Avarha and are also believed to come from other realms. The creatures themselves have not been well studied, as they are not often seen outside the forest unless they are attacking those who get too close. They usually flee back to the forest before they can be killed and studied.
Tourism
There have been many who have ventured into the forest to study the monsters there, or for their own personal reasons. Those who are curious, either morbidly or academically, about Death Woods, visit Moz'ki to start. Whether they heed the warnings from locals or not is their choice. It has also been noted as a place where those who wish to end their lives may go to do so.
