Nond

The merchant tongue around Noress in the 4000s. Rarely do you encounter it untouched by local languages, be it in accent or syntax or words, but the sounds are vaguely Russian if Russian was syllabic like Japanese.

You'll find more people that speak it along the Ghulgari Strait, and as you move further away from it, the fewer people that speak it. Both sides have developed their own dialects and accents with the influences of their native languages. Sentence structure tends to get lost in certain places, and the words and sounds are hard for some to make, leading to amusing situations where both parties speak it but neither can tell that's what they're doing.

Most creatures with lips and teeth and tongues can do most of the sounds, or have a version of it. It's mostly in the center of your mouth, but sometimes scoots to the back.

Phonology

Most sounds are simple, tongue is often used and most words are in the middle of the mouth. I'm using it as my English, as much as I hate English.
