Station, Stationary!
Artisans are typically known as the folks who stay put to work on their passions, while adventurers are the ones who do the most traveling, but travel isn't just limited to the adventurers!
Artisans love to travel the world just as much, but there is some truth in the sense that workshops tend to be quite stationary.
Multiclassing
Artisans and adventurers alike need not swear off one path by choosing the other — many artisans venture off on their own quests! Likewise, many adventurers take up the trades to bolster their field skills.
The distinction between the two lies in which side has the greatest hold on the heart and guides the path forward.
Types of Artisans
There are nearly too many flavors of artisan to list, but they can be pretty handily broken up into several main groups, with some exceptions fluttering in and out of each category as needed. They get tougher to track as different skills and trades blend together, so let's not think too hard about putting them in boxes and sealing them shut!

Artisans Around the World
The same disciplines can look quite different, depending on where exactly you look. Just as fashions shift with each pin on the map, architectural styles vary between cities, different foods find each dinner table, and different arts take the stage in each great gallery.
Fieldcraft & Floralworks
The artisans of
Brightfield are known for their love and adoration for the simplest things in life, often prioritizing the practical skills above most others. The exception tends to come in the form of food and hospitality; the culinarians of the land are best known for their exceptional
Anseni pumpkin pie and
pumpkin bread, among a wild assortment of additional delectable bites. These are made possible, however, by the humble
Brightfield farmer, a collective of industrious folks who work hard to ensure that there is never a time of year where their neighbors are forced to go without their beloved
dessert pumpkins.
Artists of Brightfield often come in the form of florists, woodworkers, and paper-makers, making great use of the lands around them which always explode into bloom through the spring and summer months. These florals are so impactful to the local culture that they spawned an entire annual revel, the
Festival of Blooms, to celebrate and share their crafts with one another and — now that
Iverra has grown far more popular — the world beyond.
Reconstruction & Glasscraft
The artisans of
Nahuara have a deep appreciation for a high-quality bauble. When combining their unique mix of arid and tropical crafting materials with a deep passion for glasscraft, Nahuaran artisans routinely fashion incredible trinkets, fit for any display. Authentic Nahuaran glassware is quite sought after for its unique yellow tone that's warm and cheerful, and rather impossible to replicate artificially. It doesn't stop artisans around the world from trying, though.
The capital city of Nahuara,
Vasareno, is known to be the "City of Renovations," making for a hungry market for industrial artisans and artists alike, as city residents practically tear down and rebuild their homes on a routine basis to pursue fun, new architectural styles and home designs. The former glasscrafters' guildhall can be found in this city, but the guildhall's status as a museum of Nahuaran glasscraft means this historic workshop is not getting renovated any time soon; if you visit the city, you can't miss it!
