Tainted Soul

Die while under a curse, Coming back to life due to divine intervention

This feat is given to those who have died while under a curse but a God has deemed you to unworthy to pass on and is then given the classification of half dead If this Feat is given to someone who cares about there own survival above others including those within there party, then this player becomes obessed with absorbing souls and is granted the following two spells

  • Soul link: When you strike an enemy you can use a bonus action to activate this spell. Upon activation your soul and the creatures are now bound together until one of you die, if it dies within 3 rounds you collect the soul if it is still aliveafter the 3rd round then any damage taken from the 3rd round on you also take and the soul is then less powerful. Each round it is still alive after the 3rd degrades the souls essence, at round 6 after the soul link the souls essence deteriates and can no longer be collected. You also must have done 1/3 of the damage to collect the soul.
The souls collected can either be used to increase your max temporary hit points (1 soul= +1 to max temp) Soul essence is what determines how long the temp hp lasts. Each soul is given a max of 3 soul essence(SE) points, each point gives you a day so 3 SE equals 3 days.
  • Phylactery creation: This is more of a ritual then a spell and has requirements in order to cast and only can be cast once per person. You must fulfil 2 of the requirments before casting. Souls can be extracted from humanoids or from creatures of certain CR level. Creatures CR rating needs to be 4 or above, once the player is level 10 the rating raises to CR 8 or above, at level 15 it raises to CR 12 or above

  1. Kill a party member or someone whose death is of equal value morally if killed by you.
  2. Have at least 10 Temporary hit points at a time.
  3. Obtain an object to use for the casting that has a worth of 100 Gold or higher. becomes the Phylactery
  4. Summon or speak with 10 undead
  5. Collect soul of a Lawful good creature that is CR 6 or above
  6. Make a party members alignment switch either from good to evil or evil to good.
Once the Phylactery is made it is up to the character to find a place to safe guard it.
Once a Phylactery is made you now go from being classified as half undead, to a lich. Which gives you the following additional features
  • Rejuvenation: If it has a phylactery, a destroyed lich gains a new body in 1 day, regaining all its hit points and becoming active again. The new body appears within 5 feet of the phylactery.
  • +2 to Intelligence, +1 to Constitution
  • Necrotic touch- On command, anything you touch deals 1d6 necrotic damage for every 6 seconds you are touching it.
  • Access to necromancy spells list
  • Becomes Vunrable to Radiant damage.
  • Becomes resistance to Psycic Damage
  • -2 to dexterity
