Bard

Level 3: Lament for the Dead

Whenever you make an Intelligence check to recall knowledge pertaining to rituals or lore related to death, the undead, or the magic of necromancy, you can add double your proficiency bonus to your roll. Also, whenever you learn a new Bard spell, you can choose to learn a necromancy spell of your choice from any spell list.

Level 3: Melancholic Song

Any creature currently holding a Bardic Inspiration die granted by you gains Resistance to Necrotic damage. Additionally, when such a creature expends your Bardic Inspiration die on a Death Saving Throw or a Constitution saving throw, it may roll the Bardic Inspiration die twice and use either result.

Level 6: Restless Spirit

You can conjure and bind Restless Spirits that died with unfinished business. At the end of each long rest, you can perform a short ritual that summons such a Spirit. It is friendly to both you and your allies, obeys your commands, and uses the Specter(MM, pg. 290) stat block, which uses your Spell Save DC, and proficiency bonus (PB).   In combat, the Spirit acts during your turn. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes is the Dodge action, unless you used your bonus action to command it to take one of the actions in its stat block, or another action. If you are incapacitated, the Restless Spirit can take any action it chooses.   If your Spirit was destroyed within the last hour, you can expend a spell slot of 1st-level or higher. After 1 minute, it returns from beyond the veil with all its hit points restored.

Level 14: Unfinished Business

Your ability to manipulate the bridge between life and death allows you to bind a soul to the mortal world for a few precious moments longer.   When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you is reduced to 0 Hit Points, you can use your Reaction to prevent it from falling unconscious. The creature remains conscious and can act normally until the end of its next turn.   While affected by this feature, the creature continues to make Death Saving Throws as normal. In addition, whenever the creature takes damage before regaining Hit Points, it suffers one failed Death Saving Throw.   Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Short or Long Rest.
