Under the light of the Half Moon
I fear the impetuousness
Of the coquettish hellspawn
We egressed from Cragyard in search of Galvatorix’s arcane cache of weapons. That was our decision. Ki’tor slept soundly throughout the process, Jane seemed more jovial than usual. Tangible, blunt connection of events. I do not need to confer with the Ancestors to know of their countenance. It does also bring a smile to my own face, joy to my soul. If but momentarily.
How I long for that feeling to not be so fleeting.
I fear for Volodomyr’s path. He is already unsettlingly possessive of the Planestone he safeguards, increasingly hostile to conversation circumjacent thereof. Denial of grief. Denial of reality. Denial of healing. He will not find solace in that object. His virtues must triumph in his struggle.
Of more immediate attention is Zalia, whose whereabouts are now unknown to us. We agreed to undertake a cursory glance at the kobold-guarded outskirts of Err’Haldur, scouting for alternate entryways. She volunteered. A few hours passed. The Half Moon now shines upon the valley. She has not returned. She is vanished. She has had a propensity to err on the side of impulsive behaviour before. That has been relayed to me.
Thus, we have but one course of action to abide, one duty to discharge:
All for one, one for all.
