Born as part tiefling and elven on a farm in Zeneith with her tiefling father Jahan "Shadowhand" and her elven mother Maria, Mira Hopscotch was raised for the most part as a mundane farm girl with a passion for reading literature. Her father would share with her the beauty and wonderment of magic, inspiring Mira to adopt her own virtue name of 'Mirth' as her aspirations of bringing mirth to the world, before one night seemingly abandoning her. Mirth would eventually seek to learn magic from the magocracy schools of Zeneith not just for her ambitions, but for an unspoken hope she would meet "Shadowhand" once more. Though she would eventually be accepted, during her studies, she would learn that her family back on the farm had ran from Zeneith and seemingly abandoned her, leaving her under the care of her newfound guardian Klasjee Demauh, her schools headmistress. Mirth would adapt to the difficult lessons instilled by the school, eventually finding her place amongst the top students and under the mentorship of Dalmorin Venabili. As she was approaching her graduation however, she would be confided in with information regarding the fabled 'Tome of Founding' a sought-after book filled with the formulae that originally plunged the world into the Nightfall.
