Okiri Village

Okiri is the first place i reached in the Gift of Shuritashi and even though i like the swamp, i have to say the atmosphere is amazing the sun is shining yet the light breeze brushes coolly against my skin. However the sheer amount of things to keep in mind in a bustling village like this with people everywhere is daunting, my master gave me a notebook with things to keep in mind when interacting with people more used to civilisation than me. Things like, paying for a place to stay, the 1 0 1 of how not to get scammed in 4 simple steps, and how to address different kinds of people. However i feel silly constantly glancing into my notes when talking to people, so i soon dropped it a few days in and so far im doing great :D
 
I even made a friend in the in i am currently staying at. A Nakudama called Vaktor Belstrad... i still cant pronounce it the way he does, and it is hard to use in a sentence -.-! Anyways he is what is called a sheep dragon shepherd and his dragon is adorable it constantly hides in his sleeve and makes quirky sounds, but i am getting of topic he approached me one evening and we got to talking, at first i was a bit sceptical since he checked a lot of the "don't talk to strange men" boxes on my masters list but when i told him he clarified what my master meant by that and we got along great the rest of the evening. I also sensed a deep connections to the spiritual world within him and a similar potential to my own, maybe he can be the key or at least help with uncovering my own powers and control them.
 
He told me about the Winter Festival that was to take place in a few weeks and that is why the village is bustling as it is and he himself came because of the sheep dragon herders to further his understanding and connection to his own sheep dragon. Keen on discovering all the Village has to offer we wanted to set out together on the next day, we were interrupted by an apprentice of the courier brigade who handed me a letter from my mother the guy seemed awfully flustered and all over the place and was talking frantically to another Nakudama about how he misdelivered a letter to the alchemist and how the brigade was gonna kick him out and wahhh. (I stopped listening)
 
Anyways Vaktor and the other Nakudama hes called Chops (a weird guy, he keeps rambling about the most random of things), anyways they hit it off and together they managed to uncover why the courier Flantanello (another one of those) was so all over the place. I like to think the Onigiri i bought for him helped as well but yeah. Apparently he misdelivered a really important letter to a house that is locked and now he needs to get it back, said house is owned by the village alchemist miss Lindley who was currently out gathering herbs and speaking from experience that can take a while.
 
Somehow we all ended up helping him...
