Khal'ha*

X

"The sky is where I belong. When she takes flight it feels like we are one being. What I ask of her I would do myself if I could. Up there I feel true freedom. Nothing but me and my trust of her. That is what it means to be Khal'ha, at least to me."
— Chaka to Yul about being Khal'ha

Born of those who rode the plains of our world only to be reborn of the sky. Focused heavily on Pterosaurs taming, riding, and raiding from their backs, the Khal'ha has a rather notorious reputation of being ruthless and deadly. Their closest neighbors often opting to leave them be and let them raid as they please as their near-silent flight and deadly aim with a bow from the back's of their beasts are the stuff of nightmares. Often used as the boogie man for the children of those who are nomadic and belong to no tribe. The Khal'ha are a fearsome bunch but also caring of their people and their heritage.

Kha'ate Khal: The head of the Khal'ha people a title often passed down over generations of a bloodline. It is not uncommon for someone to prove themselves better than the current Kha'ate Khal and have the people elevate them to this rank/title. Though if the Kha'ate Khal is slain in battle and there is no heir to the title the people will often choose a new leader from those who held their own on the battlefield.

Andu Khal: Second in command and used as a buffer for matters that could need the Kha'ate Khal. Often it is the heir or firstborn son of the Kha'ate Khalonce he is old enough to take the position. Also seen as an advisor to the Kha'ate Khal though is more often than not is the student of Kha'ate Khal.

Jagun Khals: Only five can hold this title at one time as they hold claim to the cities of the Khal'ha. Each one is allowed control of their city so long as they follow along with the Khal'ha people and the Kha'ate Khal.
Ordu Khals: The military/raid commanders, those who are in charge of the Ordu. Assigned anywhere from six to numerous thousands of people at a time. Allowed to autonomously control whatever men and women that are assigned to them when out on tasks or at the camp of Kujin.

Ordu: Anyone who serves withing the army/raiding parties. The bulk resides within the borders of the city of Kujin. The vast majority of them are single adults as they serve their people.

Khalkha: The ordinary citizens of the Khal'ha. Though the adults and elderly have at least been an Ordu at some point in their lives and will likely send-off their children to become Ordu or marry them off.

Bogal: People who have been captured during battles/raids. Treated as slaves but also as people who could be brought into those who call themselves Khalkha or Ordu, possibly even higher than that.
