Washington by Night Monsters amidst the Evergreens

Washington. The Evergreen State. Alki. The land is known by many names, and many know it just as home. The most northwestern state of the "Lower 48", that is to say all of the United States save for Alaska and Hawaii.
Its land exists almost paradoxically. To the west, nigh-alien rainforests and oceanic beaches. To the east, arid deserts and sparse farmlands. Between those two extremes exists a gradient of life and mountain chains, and within all of the state, monsters stalk the night.
Bloodsuckers stalk the urban centers. Mad prophets weave dark spells in whatever corners they can hide within, while their technological foes control puppetstrings in tall glass towers. Man-Beasts run along the forests, the mountains, the plains, all of it, and more creatures than can be succinctly described exist between these poles.
The common human knows nothing, save for urban legend and fairy tales. But they're oh so very true, and the unsuspecting are ripe to be used.
This is Washington by Night, the vile underbelly of the world, and humanity has no place left among them.
