Nishimura

Sometimes called The Fifth Family, the Nishimura family is a mercantile family with roots that stretch back to the beginnings of the Island. They are the rulers of the main town on the Island; a Nishimura has always been Mayor of the town. They also rule the traffic in and out of the island, having complete control over the docks and its rules.
The Nishimura family is mostly human, though there are rumours of kitsune and other supernatural beings within their ranks. Modern Nishimura members are all said to be descended from Yoshiari, the First Mahoutsukai. Yoshiari himself is somewhat of a mythical figure, and the origins of the family before him are murky and steeped in legend.
