Official Olbrin Tourism Guide
The Official List of Sights and Landmarks To Be Found Around the Port City of Olbrin
Beloved Locales
Olbrin Bay
The first locale sea-faring visitors to Olbrin encounter, our namesake's bay serves as the merchantile heart of the city. The tidal basin houses over two dozen ports for everything from merchant ships carrying treasured cargo to pleasure craft for leisurely sailing around the shores. For those seeking to sample the local flavors, the Olbrin Fish Market can be found just inside the ports. Fisherman sell the pride of our waters caught fresh the same morning for discerning patrons and ensure that local eateries are well stocked.Central Plaza
The premier spot in town for culture and shopping. Located at the intersection of the Olbrin's main thoroughfares, the Plaza and its atributary streets host the top artisans and shops in the city. From hunters hawking flawless pelts to blacksmiths selling the finest swords, daggers, and armor to craftsmen displaying their furniture and accessories, there is little that could not be found amongst here.Elven Quarter
To the Southern district of the city, the local population of Kyamese citizens can be found. Established less than a generation ago by immigrats and refugees from the Eastern Islands, the Quarter has become a cultural hub housing both Yoru (Night Elves) and Taiyo (Light Elves). It is a must-see for anyone curious about our pointed-ear counterparts. Locals living in the Quarter have built up the neighborhood to a degree to be reminiscent of their homeland with small shrines to their gods as well as selling cultural delicacies such as ramen (a rich broth served with noodles), tonkatsu (fried pork), and curry (a stew-like dish served with chunks of meat and vegetables). The local guards have ensured a strict policy of safety for all within the city. They emphasize that the constabuary have ample preence throughout the city, including the Quarter to deter incidents and ensure that a guard is only a shout away should one regretfully occur.Sights to See
Wynrose Theatre
One of the highest reviewed theatre houses amongst the eastern shores sits a mere three blocks west of the Central Plaza. Wynrose hosts a variety of shows ranging from the purely musical to operatic to marvelous displays of performative magic. The theatre hosts matinees suitable for families and the casual attendee while the evenings are reserved for more immersive displays. Shows and times* can be found posted in front of the theatre's ticket house. Tickets can be purchased at entry with seating options available for all patrons. *Scheduling and performances are subject to change due to inclement weather.Black Hare Tavern
A welcoming establishment for any and all to visit. The Black Hare is a popular tavern amongst locals and visitors alike for its food, cold drinks, and lively entertainment. Preformers from the Wynrose Theatre have been known to give small shows in the evenings to promote the playhouse and the grander performances therein.Oberdine Abbey
The seat of Rosarine faith within the city. Charged with the duties of overseeing the wellbeing of the community's physical and spiritual health, Oberdine serves as a center for the community as well as the church. Public classes are held in the mornings and evenings to teach literacy and numeracy to attending students while the lower levels of the abbey function as the city's main hospital. On the floors above that, the priests work to adminster the church's work across the city. Be that training new acolytes to serve the faith, oversee the churches dotted around Olbrin, and manage the local chapter of the Rosar Knights. Oberdine always keeps its doors open to the public, especially those who are in need of grace.Scholar's Guild
Those seeking higher, more secular education need look no further. The local chapter of the Scholars Guild is a meeting ground for the brightest minds in the city. Literature collected from across both land and sea as well as research publications penned by membered professors can be found within the guild library and open to the public. For the scholar needing a more dynamic lesson, lectures are available on everything from History to Science to Magic to Business. Be sure to check the guild's scheduled speakers as it's not uncommon for established merchants and professors to discuss their fields. Much like the library, lectures are open to the public with purchase of a ticket*. *Students enrolled in the local chapter are eligible for free admission.Remove these ads.
