Medlan
Medlan is the mysterious southernmost continent that is widely unexplored, actively avoided, and long considered impossible for habitation. As a result, not much is known about Medlan, though history books often record black soil that seems to steal light, twisted trees that blend with the dark earth, and monstrous beastmen that feast on mortal flesh.
Medlan's Touch
Medlan was discovered by Villish explorers that sailed south. While it was briefly explored, the sailors quickly began a return voyage back to their home. Them -- and many other sailors after that, never return with a sane mind. They took to calling the southern continent Meadland, for the sheer amount of drink that was needed to forget the memories that stained their minds from their experiences. This name later became Medlan as time went on.Geography
Widely unexplored, Medlan is a vast landmass -- for as mysterious as it is, it's easily the largest one known in the world. Sailors have yet to fully circumnavigate its coast. Inland expeditions are highly discouraged, as very few return from the ventures, but the few lucky enough to successfully venture into Medlan claim that it carries an oppressive atmosphere. The feeling of being watched is constant, and nobody has managed to find the coast at the other side of the landmass before returning to safety. Medlan is strangely dark. Is soil seems to suck light away from everything, and the trees blend perfectly into its surroundings. Seafarers that have braved the edge of the continent have witnessed glowing eyes staring at them through the darkness, but few stay long enough to investigate the source of those.
