Yrenyz (Eer-ren-eez)

The vanguard of Kord in dwarven interpretation. These warrior women fight for Kord, on behalf of Kord, and guide bodiless souls to Kord. They wield all manner of weaponry including spears, lances, pikes, swords, axes, scimitars, shotels, daggers, bows, and crossbows. They wear armor reminiscent of feathery wings and thin metal strips on the tips of their wings. They fly to and fro in the spiritual realm, seeking lost souls dedicated to Kord. They favorite the dwarven cities, especially Mil Bazon and other high-risk cities where the underdark creeps.
Benevolently they sing over their soldiers. When in a frenzy or when a cleric or paladin of Kord cast many spells they can sometimes hear their aria. When dead, the Yrenyz embrace the soldier, praising his valor and a few accompany him away to Ysgard for the eternal battle.
Not often do they traverse into the Plane Prime Material, but only when greatly needed or ordered. The traversing produces a flash of bright light as of flame and the Yrenyz floats with her wings. Those who witness this never forget and tell it in their tales.
