Palladium
Palladium is a rare, silvery white metal prized by alchemists, artificers, and master smiths for its unusual affinity with both magical energies and subtle chemical reactions. It is most often found within deep mineral deposits alongside platinum and other noble metals, and is valued for its resistance to corrosion and magical decay. Palladium has a remarkable ability to absorb and release certain gases and energies, a trait that makes it highly useful in alchemical apparatus designed to purify substances or control delicate reactions. Artificers sometimes incorporate palladium into enchanted catalysts, arcane filters, or precision mechanisms that regulate magical flows. Because it interacts smoothly with many enchantments without becoming unstable, it is also used in fine magical instruments and high quality arcane circuitry within advanced magical devices. Though less famous than gold or platinum, palladium has earned a respected reputation among scholars as a refined and versatile metal suited to the most delicate and sophisticated forms of alchemical and arcane craftsmanship.
