When you fail a D20 Test, you can choose to treat the d20 roll as a 15. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest. Claimed Moment
The first time you use Borrowed Certainty, Corvyn records a debt against your name. At a time of Corvyn's choosing, he may claim one hour of your life. Corvyn can only claim this hour while you are conscious and physically capable of meaningful action. During this hour, you act according to one of Corvyn's hidden designs. You will not directly harm yourself, attack your allies, commit suicide, or knowingly act against your deepest convictions. Instead, you might deliver a message, move an object, open a door, spare a life, conceal evidence, reveal information, escort someone to safety, or perform some other seemingly minor act whose significance may not become clear until much later. Corvyn always claims the hour to accomplish a specific purpose. He does not waste it on idle errands or meaningless tasks. When the hour ends, your memories of that time are hazy and fragmented. You remember only a single phrase: "Until It Is Finished." Once Corvyn claims the hour, this drawback never occurs again.
