Eldritch Dark Bargains

The Sleeper Speaks

"People imagine forbidden knowledge as a door. It isn't. It's a voice calling your name from the other side of a wall, speaking in your own voice, telling you things only you could know."
— From The Worm Beneath the Cathedral, Act II, Scene II
Eye Beyond the Veil
The Watcher drifts through the dark between worlds, collecting sights no mortal mind was meant to witness.
Borrowed Sight
When a creature succeeds on a saving throw against one of your spells or magical abilities, you can force that creature to reroll the saving throw. The creature must use the new result. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.   Lingering Vision
After using Borrowed Sight, and until you finish your next Long Rest, reflective surfaces reveal strange visions visible only to you. These visions might depict distant places, forgotten moments, impossible landscapes, or possible events yet to come.   At any point during this time, the DM may choose a reflection to reveal something the Watcher wishes you to see.

"When the stars finally arranged themselves into words, I understood why the dead never return to warn us."
— Archsage Morcant, final journal entry
