Celestials are creatures that come from the Upper Planes, realms that are closely connected to goodness, justice, mercy, and order. They are often seen as servants of divine powers and are frequently associated with gods, sacred places, and holy causes.
Many people think of celestials as messengers, guardians, or champions of the forces of good. They may be sent to guide mortals, protect important locations, carry out divine commands, or oppose powerful evil threats. While they are usually kind and honorable, celestials can also be stern and unwavering when carrying out their duties.
Celestials come in many forms. Some appear as radiant humanoids with shining features and great wings. Others resemble noble animals, living spirits, or beings made of pure light. Their appearance often reflects the divine power they serve and inspires feelings of awe in those who see them.
Unlike many creatures, celestials are often guided by strong moral principles. They value virtues such as courage, compassion, honesty, and selflessness. Common examples of celestials include angels, pegasi, couatls, and unicorns. While these beings differ in appearance and purpose, they all share a connection to the divine forces of the Upper Planes. Celestials represent hope, virtue, and the power of good in a world that often struggles against darkness.
