BASIC WATER MAGIC

(Pre-Tydaria / Book I)

At this stage Tarana has natural talent but through training with Liniver, she begins to learn certain magic skills.

Ripple Touch

Creates small ripples through nearby water.

Uses:

  • Testing water depth
  • Detecting movement
  • Calming nervous animals

One of the first signs of her affinity.

Water Thread

Manipulates thin streams of water.

Uses:

  • Filling cups
  • Cleaning objects
  • Retrieving small items

Looks simple but requires precision.

Mist Veil

Creates a light fog around herself.

Uses:

  • Concealment
  • Escaping pursuit
  • Softening visibility

Particularly useful in forests.

Tidal Shot

Launches concentrated water projectiles.

Effects:

  • Bruising impact
  • Knocking enemies off balance
  • Extinguishing fire

Her first true combat technique.

River Step

Allows her to move across shallow water without sinking.

At first:

  • Only short distances
  • Requires concentration

Healing Wash

Channels cool water over minor wounds.

Can:

  • Reduce pain
  • Clean injuries
  • Slow bleeding

Not true healing yet.


II. INTERMEDIATE WATER MAGIC

(Book I Royal Circuit Era)

Tarana begins shaping water intentionally rather than merely moving it.

Crescent Whip

Creates a flowing water whip.

Uses:

  • Disarming opponents
  • Restraining enemies
  • Sweeping attacks

One of her signature techniques.

Tidal Shield

Forms a rotating barrier of water.

Can:

  • Deflect arrows
  • Soften impacts
  • Absorb heat attacks

Ocean Grasp

Water rises and wraps around targets.

Uses:

  • Immobilization
  • Crowd control
  • Capturing rather than killing

Raincaller

Pulls moisture from the air.

Effects:

  • Water source generation

Useful in dry environments.

Mirror Pool

Creates reflective water surfaces.

Uses:

  • Tracking movement

Eventually gains mystical applications.

Healing Current

A stronger healing ability.

  • Reduce inflammation


III. ADVANCED WATER MAGIC

This is where Tarana starts feeling less like a water wielder and more like part of the ocean itself.

Wavebreaker

Creates massive water surges.

Uses:

  • Battlefield control
  • Defensive barriers
  • Enemy displacement

Ocean Lance

Compresses water into a devastating spear.

Effects:

  • Armor penetration
  • Long-range precision
  • Incredible force

Moontide Dance

A flowing combat style combining water and movement.

Effects:

  • Enhanced agility
  • Continuous spellcasting while moving
  • Near impossible to predict

This becomes uniquely hers.

Living Current

Transforms water into semi-autonomous streams.

The water:

  • Protects allies
  • Redirects attacks
  • Responds to intent

Tidewalk

Allows movement across lakes, rivers, and ocean surfaces.

Unlike River Step:

  • Nearly effortless
  • Long-distance capable

Sanctuary Waters

Creates an area of restorative water.

Effects:

  • Calms emotions
  • Speeds recovery
  • Reduces magical strain

IV. MASTER WATER MAGIC

(Late Series / High Lunar Attunement)

This is where legends begin.

Leviathan's Rise

Summons colossal oceanic waves.

Effects:

  • Battlefield domination
  • Massive environmental influence

Ocean's Embrace

A superior version of Ocean Grasp.

Can:

  • Restrain enormous creatures
  • Crush shadow entities
  • Protect entire groups

Lunar Tide

Combines water and lunar power.

Effects:

  • Enhanced healing
  • Enhanced purification
  • Increased magical strength at night

One of her most iconic abilities.

Thousand Streams

Controls dozens of independent water constructs simultaneously.

While using them, Tarana can simultaneously:

  • Attack
  • Defend
  • Heal

Deepheart Current

Allows her to sense large bodies of water and life within them, almost like oceanic awareness.

Voice of the Sea

The ocean itself responds to her will. Storms shift, currents change and waves answer.


V. DIVINE WATER TECHNIQUES

(Lumina Reincarnation Potential)

These are the abilities that belong specifically to Tarana. Not just for her being a water or lunar magic wielder, but because she is Lumina reborn..

Purification Waters

The ability that eventually purifies the entire Furore Ocean.

Effects:

  • Removes corruption
  • Cleanses magical taint
  • Restores ecosystems

One of the greatest feats in Tydian history.

Moonlit Resurrection

An evolved version of the magic that saved Besnik.

Can restore life when a soul has not fully departed.

Extremely rare.
Extremely taxing.

Silver Sea

Creates an immense field of glowing lunar water.

Effects:

  • Strengthens allies
  • Weakens darkness
  • Purifies corruption continuously
Lumina's Tide

Tarana's ultimate water technique.

The water becomes liquid moonlight.

It no longer behaves as ordinary water. It heals, purifies, protects and destroys corruption.
