Moonsilver

Second favourite metal after gold, it is a vital component of many magical items and trinkets and little nuggets of it also serve as a form of solid currency in Whatif and several other magical communities. In some areas, especially the remote ones, it is the only thing, usually that the two sides of any kind of a deal will agree that it is valuable. Elves especially love it.
Its colour is a mix of silver and pearl and it has a certain faint luminescence to it which can be amplified if desired. That is especially useful for making jewellery or adding it with beads into gowns and dresses for the upper classes and nobles. 
Medal of Honour for healers, nurses and doctors given during and right after the war is also mage of moonsilver and a purple silk ribbon.
