We are trying to determine who served the poisoned wine. The butler has sent for the servants who were on duty. Koda and Mickey stay behind and continue to investigate the room. Across the hall Professor Fisk, Luna, and Icarus are led to a study where we await the servants. 3 individuals enter, one elf and two gnomes. Thasim, the elf and Arla Mulliget and Anwicket Folly. Thasim admits to serving Eillyn last night around midnight. Arla chimed in that she prepared the wine and Thasim served it. Arla gathered the water from the fountain. Arla did not see Permesse (a crinaea) a water fey that lives in the fountain to purify it. Indicating that the water was likely corrupted water - however, even corrupted it wouldn't cause death.

Anwicket is nervous about something. He was in the outer garden meeting Rosie, he saw the Milton visitor. Something came over the wall, a hobgoblin, heavily leathered armor. They talked for a while then the hobgoblin left, scaling the wall with ease. It seems all 3 are telling the truth.

We enter the garden. The garden is round surrounded by the mansion around it. In the center is the fountain 10 ft across. The fountain is extremely deep and we can see it undercuts the paved portion we stand on

Permissa splashes Icarus playfully. Luna playfully splashes her back. Luna, “Oh, I like this one.” Permissa said she saw Arla draw the water last night, but was hiding from a rude visitor. This visitor drew several vials of water without asking. Luna informs Permissa that Eillyn was assassinated last night. Permissa is not sorry to hear of her passing, she was a big meanie to everyone and has many enemies. She told us Lady Vindesol, from the Bright Lands is eyeing King Feulio for marriage - love has nothing to do with it.

With this, we have kind of run into another dead end. Professor Fisk suggests Luna search Hanno's room while he distracts him. Luna and Icarus make our way to the Milton ambassador’s room. Icarus hops into his bag of holding. Luna casts Pass Without Trace, transforms into a small spider and goes under the door, releases the transformation and Icarus as we search the room. Luna finds a case under the bed. Luna also sees rose petals in a pile on the floor, from a flower not in the garden. These are not a rose Luna is familiar with, possibly of the Shadow Realm. The petals do have magical properties. We do open the case and it’s an alchemist kit with a space for a vial missing. We see filled bottles with potions, empty bottles, and a bottle of water. Under the bed is the missing vial, filled with a brackish liquid, in an anti magic rune on the bottom of the vial. Luna pours a small amount of the magic liquid to her own vial.

A servant informed me that Giggo Hanno, the Miltonite mage, is in the small library. I meet Mage Apprentice Mickey Mouws on the way to the library and ask him to accompany me. We find the Miltonite mage in the library and we engage with him. The mage apprentice leaves the balance of the conversation to me, not surprising as he is a man of few words despite his obvious talents in the arcane.
